Kailash C. Joshi, Executive Chairman

Kailash Joshi is a recognized business and community leader in Silicon Valley, California. In recent years, he has served as adviser to corporations and mentored high-tech entrepreneurs and companies. Kailash is a co-founder of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a prominent global organization of entrepreneurs. Previously he served as General Manager at IBM and led the reentry of IBM in India in 1991. Kailash received his B.E. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, M.S. from Washington State University, and Ph.D. from Cornell University. He has served and continues to serve on the boards of companies and charitable foundations.

Raju Indukuri, President and CEO

Raju Indukuri is a co-founder of Valence Energy, and is known for his ability to identify and mentor talented people with entrepreneurial spirit. Previously, Raju founded Reachnet International, a strategic marketing and consulting company focused on cross-border business opportunities. Prior to that, he worked with Delta Microsystems to co-found their Overseas Research Projects (ORP) division in India, which was eventually sold to Legato systems in 1999. Raju graduated from the University Of Illinois with a Masters in Information Systems and an MBA from India.

Mohan Dattatreya, V.P. of Engineering

Mohan has 20 years of engineering and management experience with a successful track record in start-ups as well as in large companies. Most recently, he was Sr. Director of Engineering at Nortel Networks where he was responsible for Data Center Security, Virtualization and Application Switching products. Prior to that, he worked at Tasman Networks as Director of Engineering where he was instrumental in the development of their multi-service routers for the branch office. He has also held leadership and development roles in software engineering at Cisco Systems and Crescendo Communications working on the switch software for the Cisco Catalyst switches. Mohan holds a M.S in Computer Science from Stanford University and a M.B.A from Santa Clara University. He also holds patents in Networking and Security.

Monty Joshi, VP of Finance & Administration

Monty Joshi has ten years of experience in the investment industry, encompassing asset management, risk management, and consulting to institutional investors. Additionally, he spent four years directing the finance and operations of a software services start-up, Omni Pros Ltd (acquired by E4E, Inc).Monty received an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and a BS in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder.

Alexis Ringwald, Director, Business Development

Alexis Ringwald is a co-founder of Valence Energy, and has worked in both the India and California offices. After a Fulbright Scholarship to India researching renewable energy finance and climate change at The Energy Resource Institute (TERI), Alexis published India Renewable Energy Trends. In addition, Alexis co-organized the Climate Solutions Road Tour to travel 2,400 miles across India in solar electric cars to document the best solutions to climate change. Before moving to India, Alexis worked at the German Parliament with the Environment Committee and at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Alexis holds a dual B.A. and Master of Environmental Management from Yale University.

B.V. Jagadeesh

B.V. Jagadeesh is a highly regarded business executive with a proven track record of managing and building market leaders. Before joining 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Jagadeesh served as Group Vice President and General Manager of Citrix Systems' Application Networking Group. Prior to the acquisition of NetScaler by Citrix Systems, Mr. Jagadeesh served as President and CEO of NetScaler. During his tenure, Mr. Jagadeesh grew NetScaler to become the market leader in Application Delivery Systems until its acquisition by Citrix for $325M in 2005. Prior to NetScaler, Mr. Jagadeesh co-founded Exodus Communications. During his tenure at Exodus, he successfully helped the company grow from start-up to a leader in the Web co-location market and was instrumental in leading its highly successful initial public offering (IPO). Jagadeesh has also held various management and engineering positions at Novell and 3Com. Mr. Jagadeesh holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from University of Bombay, India.

Shan Bhattacharya

Shan Bhattacharya is a professional engineer and management executive with over thirty years experience in a broad range of engineering, construction and operations of power plants(nuclear, fossil and hydro) and energy (electric and gas) transmission and distribution systems. He has been a consultant to engineering and start-up companies specializing in renewable energy, clean coal, energy efficiency and demand side electric load management. He has served as Vice President of Engineering, Planning and Asset Management for Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), where he was responsible for managing utility infrastructure assets of value over $13 billion, utilizing an annual budget of over $1.5 billion.

 

Chris Watt

Chris Watt is an expert facilities operations professional with over twenty years experience in managing the Santa Clara University utilities infrastructure, including electricity distribution, natural gas, and water systems. He is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all HVAC and environmental controls in over 2 million sq. ft. of space. Over time, Chris has acquired a wealth of knowledge in energy management control systems and knows how to use energy intelligently on a campus.

 

Ravi Chalaka

Ravi is a marketing advisor for Valence Energy. Ravi brings over twenty years of technology marketing expertise from NetApp, Adaptec, Neterion and MaXXan Systems with leadership roles in product management, marketing and strategic alliances. Previously, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Neterion where he helped raise the company position to leadership in 10 GbE adapters. As Senior Director of Marketing for data center solutions at NetApp, Ravi led the execution of go-to-market strategy for SAN and management software products. Ravi received an MBA in Marketing from Youngstown State University in Ohio.
